The Inn at Monticello bed and breakfast is perfectly situated for guests visiting the Charlottesville area and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located in an 1856 manor house on 4.6 acres of wooded grounds with a lively creek running through, the Inn is within walking distance of Thomas Jefferson's estate, Monticello, and historic Michie Tavern (1784); just 2 miles from downtown Charlottesville; 4 miles from the University of Virginia; and 22 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Skyline Drive. We have 5 guest rooms named after the first 5 presidents and their families, and a separate cottage that is sometimes available for guests. Each guest room has a private bath with a tub or a tiled walk-in shower, and 2 rooms have wood-burning fireplaces. In keeping with our love of American history, our rooms are comfortably decorated with period antiques or reproductions. Every evening we offer our guests a complimentary glass of Virginia wine and home-made cookies; in the morning we serve a delicious family-style breakfast where guests can get to know others from distant parts of the country or the world. We're known for our friendly, helpful attitude, as we ensure your experience here creates a cherished memory.
